Trademark attorney turned florist with a love for all things artistic and a design perspective honed over decades.
When a local flower shop offered a floral arranging class for beginners nearly ten years ago, I signed up as a fun diversion, but never expected to fall in love with it, let alone grow a design business and leave my legal career behind. Helping large corporations protect and leverage their branding was lucrative but my artistic side has always been seeking an outlet: I studied art history and appraisal, owned a boutique, and even had stints as a fashion buyer and wardrobe stylist. I’ve always been drawn to color, design, and aesthetics, but ultimately discovered that flowers are my favorite medium, so Juniper Lane was born in 2019.
We take pride in creating guest experiences with polish and professionalism in part because of my prior experience working with clients at large, top-tier companies. If corporate taught me anything, it’s that collaboration, an eagle eye for details, and sharp communication and organizational skills always matter.
Although I grew up on the East Coast, the Sonoma Valley has been home for 14 years and I am constantly in awe of the incredible landscapes and natural elements of Northern California, which often inspire my creative process. From the beginning, I’ve believed floral design should be done with great respect and care for our planet, so we never use harmful, single-use floral foam and source locally as much as possible. Sustainability as well as authenticity are foundational elements in this business.
